COVID-19
Very Dear Clients,
We want you to know that it is our most firm intention to continue to do our part, and our best in being of support during this time of changes resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since March 16, 2020, we started working remotely to provide services by the means of videoteleconference using OWL video, or by telephone. For the time being we have stopped providing in-person appointments and we are not available in-person at the front desk. This was motivated by following the Canadian health care authorities in practicing physical distancing to flatten the incidence of the virus and keeps the health and safety of all of us as a priority. Reach out to us by phone or email if you have any questions.
We are in this together. Take good care of yourself and each-other

We are now offering psychological and psychotherapeutic services by mean of videoconference (using OWL video) and phone. If you would like to learn more about OWL video, please visit their website.
SET UP AN OWL VIDEO APPOINTMENT
We’ll email you some instructions on how to access the OWL portal, which is where you will be able to view upcoming appointments, securely store payment information (if paying by credit card), and join your video appointment sessions. The portal is a secure platform that you can access with your preferred internet browser. We recommend you try to login to the portal before commencing any video sessions so that you can familiarize yourself with the platform. We also recommend that you bookmark the link that we provide to you, as you will need this link to login to the portal before each session. Please note that if during the video call we experience some technical difficulties, we will use the telephone to complete the session.
BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT – CONFIDENTIALITY
About 10 minutes before the appointment, you’ll be able to login to the call. To have an OWL video appointment or telephone call with you I will use an internet connection and a device that will allow me to keep your confidentiality safe. I will be in a secure location where we won’t be interrupted for the duration of the appointment and I’ll use headphones. I very strongly encourage you to do the same, and find a secure location where you can have privacy and where you can be comfortable without being interrupted for an extended amount of time; e.g., using headphones with your personal cellphone/laptop (please keep your device charged or charging).
INFORMED CONSENT FOR TELEPSYCHOLOGY
We are also going to send you another encrypted email with the “Informed Consent for Telepsychology Services” form. Please take a look at the form and fill it out and submit it at your earliest convenience, and write me an email if you have any questions about it; we’ll briefly discuss the content of that form in the first few minutes of our next appointment.
